KIER Zäune makes metal fences, gates and carports in Poland and installs them for customers in Germany. The company needed a website that would convince a German customer within the first few seconds. It had to load fast and show large photos of completed projects, a clear description of the services and an enquiry form that does not put people off. From the start, the plan was a static website with no CMS, no database and no plugins to update. Nothing on a website of this size needs an admin panel, and the priorities were speed and security.

I built a static website. Every page is a ready-made HTML file, generated from the code when the website is published. The source code holds the content, the galleries and the service pages, and deployment runs automatically from the repository. Once the build succeeds, a change reaches the hosting within tens of seconds. The enquiry form sends messages through its own script on the server. I describe how I work with websites like this on the pages about website design and development and maintenance for websites without a CMS.
In parallel, I handle the company’s SEO for the German market on an ongoing basis.

The website loads instantly on any device, and nothing in it needs monthly security updates. Google indexes the full content of every page, and enquiries from the form arrive in a format the client can price straight away. As part of the ongoing work, I keep adding new content to the website.
