Polzaun makes wrought iron fences, gates, pedestrian gates, balustrades and window grilles and installs them for customers in Germany. Before asking for a price, a German customer wants to know how the installation works, what the fence is made of and whether they can order a design of their own. The website had to answer these questions before the customer asked them. Over several years, I built two versions of the website for the company, each adapted to what German customers expect and to changes in the industry.

I built the current version with WordPress around a product range divided by type. Separate “Montage” (installation) and “Technologie” (technology) pages answer the questions customers ask before buying, and the website also has an FAQ section and a blog. A free quote is the main call to action on every page, and customers can also send a message on WhatsApp. For cookie consent, the website runs my own banner instead of an external service with a monthly fee, so the consent records stay on the client’s server. I write more about it on the WordPress plugin development page.
Since the launch, I have looked after the website’s SEO for the German market and its technical maintenance.

The website answers a German customer’s questions before they ask about the price, and enquiries come in through the quote form and on WhatsApp. I keep the website up to date and extend it as part of the maintenance, and I build its visibility in Google step by step through the SEO work.
